Hey everyone,

We have come up with a policy for users who want to post about a product they are trying to sell.

If you want to make a thread about it you can do so, but you can only make ONE thread about it.  This thread can only be posted in the relevant forum category. (e.g. crowdfunding campaign for your new watch can ONLY go in the "Watches" forum).

  • Do not post about the product/crowdfund/etc. in other parts of the forum.
  • Do not make a second thread about the same product/crowdfund campaign.

This is in place so the forum doesn't turn into a spamfest of posts only there to push products

Feel free to discuss or ask questions about this policy.

Seems reasonable Chris.

Is it OK to post about projects we have seen (and maybe backed) on Kickstarter, etc. that we think may be of interest to other members?

Yeah that's fine just keep it in the relevant forum, this is more for people trying to push their own products.

No this policy only covers the forums.  The "newest" section has it's own set of rules and we are a little more lenient on what gets posted there.  Blatant product pushing will usually get deleted (I just deleted two of those key case posts, but left the one that looks the most like an edc).  We usually let things slide in the newest section because it most likely won't get staff picked and it will get buried by other users submissions.  Hope that makes sense.

Hey ya, Chris ! Sorry for not paying enough attention to this post. It seems that i've posted it on first place on two forum categories and that's why You've deleted both of them. So i've posted it third time, with the idea, that it's going to be only one post at the particular moment. Sorry, it was my mistake, can You unlock my current post?

How about spamming private messages with commercial stuff? I had two, identical PM's from a commercial entity last week.

Can you give me an example of what you mean?
