How do you carry it all?
Posted 29 October 2016 - 06:38 AM
Right front pocket - Wallet, small SAK, Space Pen, and 3-4" folder clipped to the pocket
Right rear pocket - Bandana, Leatherman Juice S2
Belt line at 4 o'clock - Kahr CM9 either OWB or IWB depending on where I'm going
Left rear pocket - nothing
Left front pocket - Homemade pouch with spare magazine and flashlight; currently a Nitecore MT1C
Occasionally I'll throw a small FAK in the side pocket if I'm wearing cargo shorts and we'll be out with our 3 year old "bonus granddaughter" to take care of boo boos.

I love my cargo pants, especially one Kitanica copy i got from china (not marketed as such though, just similar)
But, i have my spouse whom, 9/10 times, refuses to walk next to me when i wear cargo's.
I'm swapping out my strategy and going for a dual shoulder holster pouch i can carry concealed under a coat or blazer.
The kickstarter just finished for it and they shoukd be shipping soon.
So far though, i carry my stuff in ststic spots but i just can't keep them all there at the same time.
Waiting for more stuff i ordered for my first EDC configuration.

I started wearing carpenter jeans years ago, and now I insist that all my pants have a phone-sized pocket down on the right leg. Even my business casual khakis have one. (Well, really, they're Dickies "Twill Work Pants.") I don't get why they bother to make pants without a phone pocket, anymore.
Aside from the phone, sidearm, and spare magazine(s), everything else goes in the usual four pockets.

I wear Haggar casual 60/40 blend pants or Haggar shorts depending on the temperature outside or how hot it is inside at work.
No 5th pocket for me.
Right rear - duct tape wallet so it's as thin as my notebook.
Left rear - Rite in the Rain notebook. I have a theory if the contents are the same thickness in both rear pockets it will not hurt ones back.
Front left - Samsung Galaxy S4 in an Otterbox Defender Case deep carry
Olight i3s eos clipped
Front right - 2 suspension clips
Low one has a mini sharpie, mini bic and generic nail clippers on a wire key ring.
High one has the car key on a Nite Ize locking mini S binder and I don't always have that with me.
Belt at 4 o'clock - Leatherman Wave 2 using a pocket clip
Belt at 10 o'clock - a small pouch taken from a Tatonka backpack containing microsd cards, pills, 3 bandaids and a small bottle of hand soap
Belt at 8 o'clock - Relefree Tactical Pen
The belt is a former money belt, the zipper died so I cut off the pocket. Plastic buckle and webbing.
Around my neck - Fox 40 mini and a house key.

Awesome breakdown, Glen. I was wondering why you'd put your smartphone in the left pocket, but then I remembered you're a lefty.
I carry my phone in the left pocket because I hold the phone with my left and tap with my right. Also I want my right hand free to write with. Most right handed people hold a phone with the left.

I just started a new job so for right now this is what I’m carrying on me. It may change in the coming weeks.
Front Left Pocket:
- Benchmade 940 Knife
- Zippo Lighter
- Olight S1 Baton
- Fisher Space Pen
- Apple EarPod Headphones
- Microfiber Cloth - for cleaning my glasses
Front Right Pocket:
- Leatherman Brewzer
- Victorinox Swiss Army Classic SD Pocket Knife
- iPhone 7 plus w/Apple Case
- Rhoda Notebook 3in x 4 3/4in
My watch went out on my a couple of months ago. I keep trying to persuade myself to buy the Apple Watch but I just can’t pull the trigger. I’m concerned that it would be more distracting than useful. I’m thinking about buying the Selko SKX Automatic Diver but we will see.

Here is how I typically roll. All in my left front pocket...
Thin RFID wallet. Love the easy access pull tag to my most frequently used card...
Wallet is then stored safely in a small pocket edc organizer or murse(man purse)...
Other side of my murse carries a small flashlight, a tacticool pen and a small pocket knife or this multi-tool Victorinox for example...
I like this set up, protects my pocket from clip damage etc. and it's all in one place.
Here is my EDC load yesterday...
