One question I get asked all the time is: how do you carry all of that stuff in your pockets every day? Let's talk about how we carry all of our gear! I'll start.

It might sound gross, but I wear the same pants everyday (raw denim habit) so I usually leave my gear where I left them in my pockets, which is organized below:

tumblr_inline_nea206DYM31seczb5.jpg

Coin Pocket: Jack Black Intense Lip Therapy or Listerine Strips or pocketknife

Front Right: Outermost, clipped: pocketknife, inner, clipped: pen. Current pen is carried deep pocket as it doesn’t have a clip. Deep pocket: comb

Back Right: Nothing, handkerchief, or extra small notebook. I’m trying to stop sitting on things for my back’s sake.

Right Belt Loop: Keychain, external carry

Left Wrist: Watch (Datejust almost exclusively)

Left Front: Outermost, clipped: Pry tool, Inner, clipped: Flashlight. Deep pocket, closest to thigh: oil blotting sheets, stacked above that, moneyclip or slim wallet.

How do you manage?

I have several pairs of TAD shorts as I love the pocket configuration and the reinforced corners to the pockets.
My wallet and phone go into the front pockets leaving the actual pockets free for any of my other gear.
I also tend to use either a Bills Urban Wallet or a Mission Leather Mission wallet to keep stuff together and organised.

I've had to rethink my carry modes over the years as my clothing tastes have changed. I rarely wear jeans anymore; I'm more a khaki and polo guy now, so everything has to fit in the more fitted pockets. Also, I had to stop carrying items in my back pockets due to sciatica. Here's how it generally looks:

Right front - Maxpedition mini wallet, folder, space pen, SAK
Right rear - handkerchief or bandana
Left rear - nothing
Left front - flashlight, Keltec P32
Waistband at 1 o'clock - Glock 19
Waistband at 8 o'clock - spare magazine

Flashlight, pen, keys, wallet, lip balm and other odds and ends are in the backpack

This time of year, an M65  Field Jacket. Enough pockets for everything. Summer a shoulder bag or backpack.

Messenger bag.  I have a few different bags I carry now, including some more tactical in appearance that others, but I'm on the verge of buying the Frye Logan Flap Briefcase in Cognac.  I've had my eye on it for a few months and it's nearly time to pull the trigger.  The way we carry these items has to be about class and function.  For me, this bag accomplishes both in a big way!

Everything goes in pockets. No bags, I try to be as minimalist as possible. Most days of the week I'm wearing suits, so plenty of pockets available but all bits of kit need to be tidy. Other days, same thing, pockets. If I can't put in a pocket, I don't carry.

Front right pocket wallet and Swiss champ.

If wearing a suit only additions to this are security ear piece..diary and Parker pen in right inner suit jacket pocket

Front Left - Money, no wallet

Front Right - Keys (Clipped), Personal mobile phone

Right Leg - Knife (Clipped), PrySkull (Clipped), Fisher bullet pen (Clipped)

Left Leg - Work mobile phone, tissues

Back Right - Wallet

Right wrist - Watch

With jacket my keys, wallet, pen and mobile phones go to inner and outer jacket pockets. Also another knife (Opinel usually) goes in.

Survival gear (Flash-light, multi-tool, SAK, whistle, fixed blade, rope, duck tape...) in the car. Were I live I have to drive almost everywhere, so these things are never more than a minute away.

Mine's usually the exact opposite, "Back Right- Wallet, no money", there's just too many toys justified by these sites haha

I have no idea what you are talking about.

I'm pretty sure, in the next day or so I will have to prybar open something to fix with my multitool. Using a flashlight clipped to my cap I won't have to worry about the darkness especially since I'll have my backup flashlight for extra lighting. Meanwhile my notepad and space pen can help me remember what parts I don't already have squirreled away on my person, just in case, of course.

After I'm done that I can pop some pills for my headache from my pill fob and chew some gum (or mints) I just always have on me.

Well I tell myself this story everyday anyway  :D  We need this stuff!!

I use the tactic - buy first, tell later. Fortunately she doesn't notice much, even large items. I once bought a car and she didn't notice until I showed her.

Dom: More money to spend than his wife's even aware of.
