I figured I'd get all three because they're so cheap and give them all a shot. Curious to know which you use, if any (or if I left any popular ones out), and what the one you use the best for your purposes.

I like the shard, never had either of the other two though. Used it to scrape with and also used the bottle opener. That was all before I got my Leatherman Surge however. Now I just keep it on my carabiner as a relic of my former edc.

I've carried the DoohiKey for a few months now, never used it until last weekend to open a few beers.

I have a brewzer and shard. Brewzer works much better in my opinion. Haven't tried the Doohikey.

Shard all the way. It NEVER leaves my keys. I've used it for everything from opening paint cans in a pinch, to using it as a makeshift shim during repairs. It's incredible.

Shard chills in my pocket when i'm at work. Use the flat head a lot, and the pry to lift open the drains I have to clean. Also used it the other day to pry up a piece of plastic with double sided tape that was stuck securely on the ground.

I have the Doohikey and the Shard in my keychain and I use it plenty of times in different situations.

Since they are so cheap and light weight tools i would always usa both.

Has anyone done any semi-hard use with the Brewzer? I know it isn't a full size pry bar so it won't be able to do anything insane but I'm just wondering how heavy duty they are.

I'm thinking of seeing how a Boker Vox Access Tool goes head to head with the Shard that I've been using every day now. Anyone have experience with one of these?

I just got a Leatherman Brewzer.

Smaller than expected. You can read the dimensions 10 times and see 100 of photos before. I need to have it in hand to realize the size ;)

I used some paracord to have a better handling. The Brewzer should do everything I don´t like to use the tip of my knife, open cardboard boxes and certainly open my bottle of beer. I will try this later ...  :)

And it seems to be a "trouser pocket killer" with it´s sharp edges. Not sure how I will carry the Brewzer. Maybe in a small EDC pouch, in the 5th jeans pocket or a key sheath ...

I'm a shard fan. Besides using it as a screwdriver and a pry, I tuck it in my waistband (kind of a poor man's clip) and so far haven't lost my keys. It's a tough bit of kit.

For me it was a neck-and-neck contest between the Leatherman Brewzer and the Gerber Shard. Finally the Brewzer made it. Main reason: The Brewzer is flat and the Shard is bent. So the Shard should need a little more space at a keychain. Therefor the Shard have more functions. I think both of them are nice to have.

Edit: Works  :D

I have the Shard and the Doohickey 6X (scraper). Between them, the Shard is more functional but the Doohickey is more pocket friendly (at the very least).

The only thing that bothers me with the Shard are the pointed ends (philips) and the curved pry tip (which makes it effective).

Planning to buy the Brewzer and see how it goes and decide which one will be EDC and which one will be placed in hibernation.  :o
