We are slowly rolling out some new features for EDC.
The first one, which you can start playing with now, is our 'products' feed. To try it out, go to the homepage and click "products" next to staff picks.

What this is, is a live feed of what all the users of EDC deem to be the 'best' products. Our algorithm analyzes views, clicks, likes, 'haves, and other data to make a list of daily popularity by products.

let us know what you think!

Ok, so it replaced the "Best" category?  Is it taking a measure of the gear listed in EDC pic submission likes and then determining of the gear across all submissions which gear is liked the most?

Its based on a few things, but mostly the outbound clicks to the product itself, since that is really the best indicator of quality.

We retired "best" and "popular" as they had minimal usage and were taking alot resources, believe it or not

The new products feed looks awesome! It seems to have a compatibility or format issue when using the Opera browser though. I have also noticed that some photos in the forum will not show up in this browser. I don't know how many other people use Opera, so I'm not sure if it is really worth trying to fix, but I thought you guys would at least like to know.

Greetings, new to posting (1st actually). I assume this feature is now the "Gear" section on the right hand side on the homepage?
