What???  These things need to be finessed.  You have to massage a machine into working...gently caress it...stroke it and love it.  That works, right?

If violence is your answer, Skynet will rebel and we'll all be sorry.  John Connor is an unreliable dud of a human to depend on for the survival of our species.

My company rather frowns upon posting pictures of our wok sites on social media, but this one is relatively nondescript, and I've already posted it elsewhere, so...

Very cool, Dave.  Question:  Is your colleague Bruce Wayne?

Also, don't forget to start an introduction thread so we can all give you a nice, warm welcome.   :)

Awesome. I'm jealous.

Anything computerised with moving parts is destined to fail.  The only thing they understand is physical violence.  That's my professional opinion.

Spoken with truth. When I was workong at a press, we used machinery several decades old. If it breacks, you hammer and wrench on it until it's fixed. Takes about 10 minutes and you're back up and running. These newfangled ones...not so much. Still want to use the hammer though.

I wish I had something cool to show from my job.  If I posted a pic today, it would be of a crummy HP thin client and a matching 19" monitor.  If I did it at some other time, it would be a variation of the PC or the back of an airplane seat... BORING.

Eh. Every job has it's ups and downs, and not too many people will tell you that they can't wait to leap from bed and rush to the greatest job in the world!! Jobs are a necessary component in being able to enjoy the time we have away from them. It's the time you spend outside your job and what you do with it, that defines who and what you are.

Joe, I suspect that you have one of the "coolest looking" jobs on the board, but I'm willing to bet that at the end of your shift, you're not hanging out looking for more awesome fun work stuff to do. I'lll go out on a limb and say that lake, those quiet trees and a warm fire pit are callin your name.
