That's fantastic. Looks like a fun job that keeps you busy and mentally challenged. My job is pretty boring. Kind of like being an artist, but instead of paint, I use wood.

Diference is that, if I cut a window muntin  wrong, it toss I in the barrel, and no one dies in a plummeting earth bound fireball. :D

Actually, they are routers for telephony.  So each time you make a phone call or send a text message, several small signaling messages fly across the back plane of several of these.  My job is to test new features and try to break stuff so our developers can fix bugs before new software is released to customers.

This is my workstation at the office. Boring IT stuff but it pays the bills. Sorry the monitors were cut off, it's really meant for the shot of the keyboard, haha.

This is my new favorite thread.  I've seen Mikey's keyboard on other posts, and my first reaction was...ummm?!?!?  Now that he's making fun of it, it's open season!!!

I have often wondered why we can't like the status updates/responses from ALL the admins.  Good job stirring that pot, Walrus!

Also...Marc!  Are you a Switch Tech for a wireless company???

Not sure where the "making fun of" part came into play, but I am serious about this keyboard, I bought it just last December as a result of this article. :D

I have a more modern mech at home (don't mind the shoe -- it's a Reddit thing), but I'm planning to get another Model M when I get the funds.

Ok, maybe not making fun of, but at least allowing it to be known that it's ancient!

Old school is the best school, baby! This is one of those things where it's actually correct to say "they don't make them like they used to," because they really don't. There's a reason mech keyboards are becoming huge at the moment, it all traces back to the Model M. :)

Anyway, history lesson over, back to my boring job, haha.

P.S. That mouse in my picture -- that's also a nearly 20 years old model by now. :)

That's awesome.

I will say, the ergos on the Model M are pretty fantastic.  I love the slight upward swoop of it when looking at the side profile.
