I'm not a "brand" guy, and I often go on the cheap with unbranded stuff. Also, I'm very practical so when I buy something I usually explore the pro&cons of stuff without any regard for the brand.

The only brand I'm a big fan of is Quechua. The make entry level outdoor stuff and I have a lot of their procucts, from jackets to shoes to backpacks. They never disappointed me: good quality, smart design, low price.

Oh, and I love whysky and beer so I have favourite brands of beer (for example LaTrappe, Rochefort, Bucanier) and Whysky (Oban, Lagavulin, Talisker, Caol Ila).

If you want reasonable price and a tough, good shooting scattergun, check out Mossberg. If you want to spend money and be a gentleman hunter, look into the endless supply of side by side and O/U makers. My O/U of choice is the Ruger Red label.

Beretta make some really beautiful SxS and O/U arms as well.

Are you guys preferring Dr. Pepper over Mr. Pibb strictly based on his degree?  Maybe Pibb also has a doctorate, but isn't snobbish about what he wants to be called.  :P

Up here in civilization we don't have this "Mr. Pibb" cretin.

Here's the thing: Let's say Mr. Pibb isn't snobbish, but what's all this about Pibb Xtra? It's like he has to prove himself with letters tacked on the end of his name...The Doc can't be accused of that. I think it's a Big Bang Theory (the tv show) situation where Howard is jealous of the other guys having a doctorate and always making sure that people know he has 2 master's!

I have not met this so-called Mr. Pibb. From your Howard analogy, he sounds like he has a major inferiority complex or has performance anxiety. Either way, the Dr. is in ;)

Apple - lover of all things, Apple. Itching to purchase the new Apple TV interface :-)

dbx (been using their compressors forever.  First rate, killer sound.

Furman - dependable power conditioning for my guitar and a/v systems.

Aphex (killer dynamics enhancers, in my guitar systems.

BBE (killer dynamics, for my iPhone!)

BOSS (have been using their guitar effects for many years)

XTAR (huge XTAR charger fan..beautiful build quality and dependability

Bose (have had the pleasure of playing through (but never owning) their L1 systems - phenomenal sound in a moderately (relatively) compact package.

Fender

Canon - I've been using their cameras almost exclusively, for the past eleven years)

Anker - great external lithium batteries to keep my stuff juiced up.

Panasonic - most dependable batteries, to keep my 18650 lights up and running :D

Personally, I cannot stand Dr. Pepper or Mr. Pibb.  I think they both taste like some kind of funky carbonated prune juice, and I hate prune juice. I also detest creme soda, with a passion - but everyone has different taste buds, so; more power to you who like those things.  More Coke classic for me :D :P

I absolutely detest creme soda too! And I like Coke...funny how taste buds can be so similar, yet so different.

Springfield Armory

I have always lusted after something, ANYTHING from Springfield. I don't care if it's a 1911 or an M1A. One day, I'll own something.
