Because I would think you do, yet they are often written like advertisements (which they probably are), and really don't offer any more info than what you could find off the products website.

Hi Scott, for roundups like these (as well as the single "drop" posts), most of the time the picks are from our personal experience of owning said products as well as a combination of reputable brands, new items from the industry [from said brands], as well as recommendations from users in their submissions and in the comments of the guides. We do these kinds of roundups to bring awareness about new and possibly lesser-known gear to our readers and try and strike a balance of personal experience with the gear with details that would be relevant to most EDCers like the actual manufacturer info.

When we do reviews, we do the full battery of testing as well as long-term EDC for the full experience; these are clearly marked as reviews which you can see tagged with the "reviews" tag: http://everydaycarry.../tagged/reviews

As far as sponsored posts go, these are also clearly marked with a sponsored tag (http://everydaycarry...agged/sponsored), have a disclaimer within the post itself, as well as a special indicator in our newsletter to signify if something is sponsored or not.

Hope this clears things up, and happy to answer any other questions you have. :)
