I'm a teenager who had a nice Breda Rand https://www.bredawat...ant=16044434307until it was stolen out of my high school gym locker when I forgot to put the lock on before track practice. I came here to try and find a replacement that I could afford. I'm looking for something that I like around $35, and found two decent options. One is a Vostok komandirskie https://meranom.com/...kie-211783.html and the other a Timex https://www.amazon.c...UTF8&th=1&psc=1
I'm not very sure about either. There are a lot of reviews for the Timex, but some suggest some concerns about the quality, mainly about the crown falling off. On the other hand, I don't know much about Vostok and its quality.
So I'm looking for a little feedback here. Any reviews, warnings or recommendations for a Timex or Vostok? Is there a better option for around $35, or will I need to save and spend more later to get a watch I can trust?
Thanks for the help!

I own several of both and have been satisfied with them.  As a collector, I've seen issues even with high end pieces.  For the money, Timex and Vostok can be good value.

I just received a Vostok Amphibian a couple of days ago. I'm very happy with it. It's a great looking watch but a bit heavy. The only drawback for me is that the metal watchband is too long. Others have replaced the band with a NATO band but I'm going to see about getting a link removed. If you're like me and want a dive watch that is reasonable price and a little different a Russian watch may fit the bill.
