I'm finally going to be going on a honeymoon and doing some traveling this summer as well. I'm looking for a smaller sling bag...basically a tactical man purse lol. We have a 5 month old baby boy too so I'd like a few more things with me than usual. I don't want a backpack and I also don't mind paying for quality. I think it will have to be ordered online as I live in a smaller city. Let's see/hear some ideas please folks!

Hazard4 Plan B - I carry it every day.

MOLLE compatible means if you cant to add pouches you can.

About 18" tall and 7" wide but all details can be found here.

Hi

Not sure what capacity you are after, but I carry a Hazard 4 every day too. A Kato.

External dimensions are smaller than the Plan B (nice bag too) at 13.5” L x 12” W x 5.2” D (34 x 30.5 x 13 cm)

Capacity is around 14L or 850ci. but can again be added to with the Molle system.

Amazing what you can get in it. Really comfy over either shoulder.

Details at Hazard 4  http://www.hazard4.com/kato.html

This edc forum post was instrumental in my research http://www.edcforums...re-heavy.91815/

Cheers,

Steve

I won't be carrying a tablet or laptop with me so I don't need anything as large as that.

I use and enjoy the Vanquest Mobius 2.0.  Gideon's Tactical did a pretty detailed review of it

So I know that it's not a true sling pack but I have been using The North Face - Sport Hiker Lumbar Pack for several years to carry my water bottle, notebook and lunch to and from the office.  I use it as a sling bag with the included strap.  It's a nice size to carry a bunch of stuff that you wouldn't normally carry but need to for something like traveling.  It started out as a day hiking bag but quickly morphed into something that I use regularly.  If I'm going out somewhere quick with the baby (9 months) I'll throw in a couple of diapers, wipes, etc into it instead of carrying the entire diaper bag too, plenty of room for it and doesn't look like I'm carrying a purse.

The Patagonia Atom sounds like it would meet your needs at only 8L, and incredibly popular.

I would have gotten a KP for myself but they got rid of the blue interior option.

It's made tough and water resistant and perhaps a bonus if carrying the kid too.

Since you'll be traveling check this out. You might love the features.- http://www.ebags.com...ductid=10311836

I just got a Maxpedition Skyridge; just about the right size for daily carry. I carry my essentials and an iPad Air 2 and have plenty of room left over.

I ordered myself one of these from an Ebay seller out of China.

Hasn't arrived yet. I can give my opinions when it arrives. Scheduled for April 10 delivery.

It's claimed to be made from genuine leather, not PU or other fake stuff and cost about $30 shipped.

Rush Moab 6 or 10.  I use the Moab 6 as my EDC bag and it works perfect!

+1 for the MOAB 6. For the longest time I had a problem carrying a "murse". I tried the leather satchel or messenger bag, but it always made me feel like a hipster metrosexual.

The 5.11 MOAB 6 is big enough to carry my EDC kit and rugged enough to prevent me from saying "it's European!" Everywhere I go.

Recently purchased a MOAB 6 from 5.11  I have been very happy with it so far.  It is a work in progress but it seems to be very well put together, no issues with the zippers or seams.

Well, on my honeymoon, I carried the Maxpedition EDC Verispack. I believe this is out of production but features a bit lighter, smoother, and more forgiving nylon albeit Cordura.

We stayed on property at Walt Disney World Resort (Yacht Club) for I think 11 gorgeous December days. Wonderful time. The bag kept a Nalgene I'd refill to about 400mL periodically, point and shoot digicam, battery charger, some ibuprofen, blister tape for my wife, and our growing collection of Disney pins and small souvenirs I didn't send back to the room.

I used the bag on 3-4 WDW trips, and it worked out well. You don't have to take it off for rides or fitting through doors or long lines. You don't have to take it off to access. Merely drag it to the fro t, access on the go, and put back into your most comfortable position.

Ah good memories

How was your honeymoon? Where did you go? We planning ours and were very recommended about Punta Cana honeymoon. Many people go there and they're very satisfied with this place. I agree sun and beach are great there and create romantic atmosphere. I check and it looks wonderful.

You might consider the datsusara bags.  Really well made, 100% hemp so antimicrobial and strong as shit.  I used the larger backpack as my everyday since I carry my jiu jitsu gi with me.  take a look.

Moab 6  / 511. I carried one for over a year and loved it. In fact it's still a quick toss bag that I use for quick light day trips.
