What do you think Dr. Jones or an adventurer from his time would carry?

Most likely a ruby-encrusted shrunken head from the lost caves of Kijiugh.

On a more serious note, he always struck me as a Buck kind-of-guy.

We know for a fact that he carried a Zippo, but the rest could be answered by looking at EDC items from the 1930s and 40s might be. I imagine looking at what soldiers carried in WWII would give a good idea.

He likely carried a journal of his own and a pencil as a pen would run easily and not survive water damage. A folding knife like a Buck, Barlow, or Swiss Army Knife would also be likely if not necessary. An adventurer would also want a good set of gloves, compass, matches, binoculars, and timepiece.

Bull whip, fedora, MkVII Gas Mask Satchel, S&W or Webley revolver/Browning Hi-Power, Linder 312111 pocket knife, leather gloves, sense of humour with a side bit of sarcasm...all the basic stuff we should carry!
Life is a trip that takes a lifetime.
