I carry a rush 12, good bag in its own right but I do find myself looking at additional molle pouches for my Nalgene for example

Not exactly my EDC bag, but I wanted to show you anyway.

I took this picture at the Cagliari airport, in Sardinia (Italy). I attached a waist bag to the compression strap ;-)

This is the bag I currently use when traveling, hiking or symply hanging around out of my town. It's a Simond Alpinism 22, and despite being only a 22liters it holds all my stuff whitout any problem.

Very cool color, I was looking for something black, but I think I prefer this

I got a new small (prize and dimensions) pouch with belt loop for the main EDC stuff ... Trailite TL-2001NHMP. As I know the same pouch is available with Nite Ize logo (a bit more expensive).

Knive, torch, pen, marker, small notebook, carabiner for the Brewzer and keys. Maybe I will add a small Victorinox SAK.

Unfortunately the Fenix L2D don´t fit because it´s too long. But I will replace it with a Olight S15 Baton which is still somewhere on the long way between China and Germany. On the backside there is place for a very small notebook Din A8. Unfortunately more common Din A7 don´t fit.

The black marker will be replaced by a Sharpie Mini soon.

I have chosen this pouch because I often change my bags. Large laptop backpack for the office, private different Crumpler shoulder bags. The pouch also fits in the large bags of cargo trousers. Or certainly to the belt but I don´t like the look. So I only need to throw this pouch in the bag I like to use the day.

Din A7, Din A8 ... sorry, I really don´t know the US paper dimensions ...  :(

I used the Nite-Ize version for a while. Had two of them wear out on me after about a year of use. Switched over to a Skinth bag. Wanted something a little bigger and currently using a Maxpedition H1.

Due to larger carry size requirements, I recently was gifted a 5.11 Rush 24 to replace my Tom Bihn Synapse 19. The TB is a great bag, but at 19 liters was too small to carry documents as well as my day to day items. The Rush 24 holds everything I need with incredible organization. I got the one in Doubletap color (gray with black molle and trim). I added a few patches to personalize and this will be my new travel bag as well.

Hey guys!

I dig the above packs functionality and design but am looking for an everyday pack that not only holds my day to day necessities but is also durable and waterproof. I'm an action adventure guide w/ an obsession for surfing and wondering where to look for quality goods that will fill the above needs.

Where should I head to find the perfect pack?

Would love some direction,

Riley

Riley -

You should definitely check out GORUCK. They're damn near indestructible and not waterproof, but water resistant. A bit pricey, but well worth it.

If you want something that can be submerged, there might be a dry sack similar, but not one I'm familiar with.

Hope that helps!

Blackwolf fury 30 is what I use and I wouldn't really call it an EDC bag as I don't wear a pack everyday everywhere everytime it more like a "when I'm out all day" pack. ie going to and from work, at a park or beach, to the gym , somewhere I need to carry extra stuff etc.

My previous EDC bag was a Rush 24 in OD green, but I always thought it was too big so now I use it for when I'm hiking longer than a full day. The Rush 12 in the pic is my new EDC bag. I wouldn't change it anymore, I love it.
I'm looking for a few pouches now, one that can hold a thermos bottle or 1 liter bottle. And sonething to attach a small tent to my bag. Tips and ideas are appreciated :)

Camelbak makes a molle pouch that attaches to your bag, it's big enough to hold a 1L bottle..

I got this one to be an EDC. But its main compartment is too small for things like a chess set or  a jacket and sweater.

That said, interesting bag. I will look for a somewhat smaller bag with a larger compartment.

Quick question for all of you out there, how much do most of your EDC packs weight in at?
