I've seen that! It really works that well? That is so cool.

It'll usually trip up on a word or two (which is understandable given how many dialects there are), but other than that, it really does work.

Do you log your meals? I did for about a week or two, but I got tired of searching for ingredients.

No, I'm Spartacus!

I use the light on my phone fairly often as well; I'm more concerned about battery life on my flashlight than my phone.

I just returned from a work trip and used several different apps while I was gone.

From the time I boarded the plane to depart from Nashville, until my return home last night, here are all the apps I found myself using (some have already ben mentioned):

Google Play Music

Amazon Kindle App

Tetris

Google Maps/Navigation

Google Chrome

Stitcher

CNN

Amazon

ETSY

Camera

Snapseed

Google Keep

LifeHacker

YouTube

reddit is fun

They were all used at least once, and some way more.

I still need to find more that can be used for multipurpose functionality.

hey all,

Just thought I would add 2 pence from a Windows Phone 8.1 POV.  On a daily basis, I use the following:

Tweetium

6Tag

Poki

Tubecast

Podcast+ Pro

eBay

Amazon

Windows Central

Always on the look out for any others that might improve my day.  Just found Glympse, looking forward to playing with some more.

Craig. :)

Here's the non-stock, non-game apps on my iPhone 6 Plus home screen:

- Fitbit

- Fantastical (calendar replacement)

- Reeder (RSS)

- Dashlane (password manager)

- Soulver (calculator)

- Hyperlapse (Instagram's time lapse and video stabilization app)

- Instapaper (read later app)

- Tumblr

- Kindle

- Instagram

- Workflow (iOS automation)

- Beer Tab (beer ratings)

- Carousel (Dropbox's photo backup app)

- Spotify

- Overcast (podcatcher)

- Facebook

- VSCOcam

- Evernote

- Dark Sky (weather app)

- Twitterific

- OmniFocus (task manager)

- Drafts (quick note taking app)

Of those, I probably use Fitbit, Fantastical, Reeder, Dashlane, Instapaper, Tumblr, Instagram, Carousel, Spotify, Overcast, Facebook, Evernote, Dark Sky, Twitterific, OmniFocus, and Drafts everyday.

Oh man, I might need assistance! I make my living using old fashioned tools like the phone (the wired one), pen & paper, and face to face. But...I do use a few phone apps, and even have appointments on Lync. So I'm just sorta old...

Strictly speaking I don't use it every day but I check out flightradar24 most days. No particular reason really. I just like to see a plane 40,000 feet above me and find out where it's going / what airline etc.

  • Evernote: I have this app on my S5 and my primary laptop and love it. I still carry around a pocket notebook and a pen, but use this constantly, more for taking pictures than written notes, except when I leave my notebook at home.
  • Dropbox: I don't store anything except apps on my computer, so this is my primary storage for anything that doesn't get stored in Evernote.
  • Mailbox: The best mobile email client I've found, Makes the stock one look like a bad joke, and not just because it actually sinks to your account.
  • Stitcher/Beyondpod: I listen to various podcasts on a daily basis. I love Stitcher but I'm always playing with podcast clients, and BP has me intrigued, though my only real gripe with stitcher at this point is the widget doesn't work.
  • Instapaper/Kindle: I love instapaper because I can annotate articles. I use both to read during deadtime that I'm not listening to podcasts.
