I just wanted to give any of you folks who ever thought about making your own leather key fob, sheath, holster etc. a little heads up.

Tandy Leather, offers classes on how to make anything leather. Specialty classes like making a gun holster can run you around $30 to $50 but that includes materials.

The basic classes they offer run $10 for 3 hours of instruction.

If you sign up for news letter of the store nearest to you they will notify you of upcoming classes.

This is a great resource forum for DYI and pro, semi-pro leather workers.

What nature requires is obtainable, and easily within reach. It is for the superfluous we sweat.

I've always been interested in making my own leather goods.  Thanks for the tip!

It is very very rewarding. Go for it.

the biggest lesson I keep learning is that the project isn't done until its done and they go through all kinds of stages where I think it is amazing, then crap, the wrecked, then back to amazing then finally what is just is. flaws and all. organic materials just always seem to be right flaws and all. I love the process as much as the product and perhaps even more.
