I have found the apps thread very useful over time and it struck me last night that a similar topic for websites/things you have bookmarked might also be useful for people. I was just deleting a few things that I never use and I'm sure there's all sorts I don't have in my bookmarks. Anyone like to start us off? Whether it's news, online shopping, information, useful things in general...

Maybe this will fail miserably but let's see how it goes!

As per my new tab page:

everydaycarry.com No joke. First one on the list  B)

hellbentholsters.com They are always having sprint runs of exclusive titanium money clips, have to check frequently or you miss out

AOL Mail. Old, but I still use it

Cold Steel Forums. Great small community

Kickstarter Lots of good EDC stuff to find

Wikipedia What, it's a reliable source...

Cold Steel Knives Great knives, great price

ITS tactical Great articles about tons of different topics, and a great shop to boot (Here's a nice article about EDC levels)

Misc. others:

http://www.runningbu..._calculator.htm A great running calculator, give it two pieces of info (Time/distance) and it will give you the other (Rate). You could of course use the D=RT formula, but the calculator makes it that much easier.

http://www.amazon.com/ref=nav_logo For obvious reasons. Lots of stuff, low prices. (Generally)

http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ Great time saver, tells me if a website is actually down or if it is only my computer that can't connect to it.

I don't use any sites for work, but here are the sites I use/visit on a daily basis: (can't figure out how to link them on my iPhone.)

Everydaycarry.com (literally, like 10+ times a day.)

Emtcity.com (helpful since I'm starting my EMT certification next week.)

Wikipedia.com (who doesn't?)

Google.com (again, who doesn't?)

For website iPhone apps I use Facebook and Instagram. Instagram is mainly for following knife, firearms, and other gear related things.

Aside from this one...

The Velo Orange blog

Nashbar and Alfred E. Bike for parts and tools

Amateur Electronic Supply and Universal Radio for ham radio equipment

American Radio Relay League, 'cuz I'm a member

American Welding Society, 'cuz I like burning metal

...and the truly useful sites...

Sinfest, The Whiteboard, Hubris, Frazz, Something Positive, and Questionable Content.

The Whiteboard is part of Doc's Machine, an airsmithy and machine shop in Kenai, AK.  He also hosts a discussion forum called The Tinker's Guild, which is a nifty place for machinists, gear-heads, tinkers, and other mechanically-inclined folks to meet and pick each other's brains.

You too?  Cool!  Jeph's written and recorded some pretty decent music, too.  Wonder if he's an EDCer?
