I might have become a bit too obsessed with my wallet being as thin as possible... Anyhow, started playing around a bit with tyvek to create the perfect wallet for myself. Ok I admit it doesn't have the luxury feel of leather or metal but it does allow me to design it to exactly fit my needs and what I want to carry. Here's a picture of the latest creation: https://www.instagra.../p/BQqVN4Rg_mI/

First consider light or heavy, mental wallets do have weight and if you like to be light I suggest plastic or nylon or you can go with that rfid wallet that sales at walgreens for 2 at 9.99 as seen on tv product. Try those or stick with the leather that you like.

I have the ridge polycarbonate wallet (not metal), however it has held up extremely well! I carry a few cards, ID, etc. I would strongly consider this option, they have the aluminum option as well.

Excellent thread - thanks.

I'm in for an "FNDN Minimalist Wallet" since it claims to hold  2-13 cards and has gotten some good reviews.

https://fndn.com/col...t-pocket-wallet

Excited!

I'll be adding some RFID shielding.
Wrap pieces of thin cardboard or used gift cards in aluminum foil and then place one into the front and one into the rear card slots of the wallet.
It doesn't provide a gapless solution but at least provides some measure of protection.

Finally! I thought I was the only one who owned and praised FNDN. If you search for any kind of wallet thread or article I'm always talking about my absolute favorite wallet. I love it! The leather is soft and it ages beautifully. The pull tab is smooth. I currently have 8 in the inside and one in each outside sleeve. I always have it in my right front pocket and often I can't even tell it's there. I have been using it exclusively for 2 years. If this ever goes bad or lost I know I'll buy another one. I have blue stitching. What will you get?

AVPX1 -

I've had the FNDN Minimalist Wallet for over 3 years now, and it has to be the BEST wallet I've ever owned. I came across the brand for a totally different product they sold. Heated gloves to be exact. I purchased the wallet, and it hasn't left my side since. I'm glad to hear some one else is checking this brand out. FNDN products are top quality, I recommend to anyone I run into asking about FNDN.

Thanks for the feedback guys. And for posting about the wallet.

I'm getting it in all black. My initial concerns about it were regarding if the cards can fall out because there is no retention strap holding them in.

I guess if you guys are so happy with it, then chances are the cards do not fall out. :)

I'll post my thoughts when it arrives.

Thanks!

The Decadent Minimalist wallet really has got my attention however multiple reviews on Amazon state that it wears out your pants due to it's sharp corners.

https://decadentminimalist.com/

I noticed that KeySmart carries a very similar wallet  (BOGUI) but it appears to have a more rounded shape and is realistic in price and although I don't use a money clip it at least includes one.

May need to investigate. :)

Note, I've been looking at wallets to hold a minimum of 10 cards but in really going through my current cards I can probably get away with just 7 or 8 since three of them are for retailers.

Something to think about.

It has never even come close to falling out.

I was using this system before FNDN http://forum.everyda...ction-for-sale/

STILL for sale btw!

I'm a front pocket guy and having experienced carrying a hard material wallet I don't see the appeal since it cannot bend or give when sitting or doing activities. Although it never was a problem for me as far as poking me or shredding my pockets. I just made it a rule I will no longer get metal wallets regardless of how dope it looks.

I'm currently rocking the Captain Steampunk version of Ti2's wallets, which got Kickstarted late last year. Of all the minimalist wallets that have come through the site, this is the one I really liked and invested in. Been using it since the day I got it and will probably get some more down the line:

This actually looks pretty good! I think a solid metal wallet should always have a cash compartment. I am sure everyone still needs a bill or two just in case.

I probably recommend any of the following. I've always loved minimalist wallets and have been using them since they took of (on Kickstarter) with the likes of the TGT and Crabby Wallet.

Distil Union Wally

Disc Wallet

Garzini Wallets (in general)

Andar Apollo (my fav)

Hope this helps!

I've tried metal wallets and here's my thoughts to the pros and cons IMO:

Pros:

- the dimensions of the wallet is fixed. This means that the wallet will not expand and become loose overtime.

- it feels solid and really nice to hold. They usually look really sleek!

Cons:

- some metal wallets have sharp corners. I damaged my pants once and also accidentally scratched myself with it so I would say its uncomfortable at times.

- limit. If you ever need to carry more than you usually do, you might find yourself stuffing the rest of the stuff in your pocket.

I just launched a campaign on Kickstarter for something I designed. Not a metal wallet but I use 900D polyester oxford canvas fabric and crazy horse leather because of its durability and aesthetics.

I am not here to promote the wallet but I just want to gather some feedback on the design, functions and materials used, to see what suits you guys (us who carry minimalist wallets), so that I can further develop and design better wallets to cater to people like myself! Some feedback would be appreciated! You can check it out here.

I much prefer my metal wallet over others, got it custom engraved with a smiley face and name on Etsy not so long ago (https://www.etsy.com...alist?ref=hp_rv):

I am not interested in mental wallet. If you need a leather minimalist wallet, I would recommend this one I have kept for about 1 year.
